More tiny stories! These were generated by using oracle cards as prompts! It was really fun and I got A Lot scrawled out, considering how little I've been writing as of late.

The paths you thought were clear are lying to you. Simplicity is never what it seems. You know this, you've learned this lesson before. You've traveled down the roads that claim to be safe and know that no road is truly free of risk. Your heart beats hard in your chest as you remember the thoughts and tiny rocks making your steps uneven. as the storm whips around you, pulling to and fro, making your move to the rhythm of the thunder and the patter of rain.

Yes, you know better than to believe in simplicity, but you also know that faith is different than blind belief. You have enough faith to be prepared and welcome the storm because even storms and bumpy roads have found their way here somehow and there is enough faith in your heart to know that as often as they come, they pass and you will find your way.

Petals like wings against your back uncurl and reach towards the sun, hungry for light, hungry for the warmth and care it gives. You tilt your head up, soaking it all in, your petals brushing your face, the ground, the world all around you. You are full of it, the love that blooms in your heart, crying out to be seen, to be echoed back by anyone who might need that reminder. You bend with the wind, seeds falling and flying in equal measure and you know that this is right, that you are offering yourself to sun and moon, stars and thunder both. You welcome the gifts they give and in return, you offer your petals, your love, your care and kindness, to those dreamers and dancers, those strangers and friends, who find and cherish you.

~

Your bones are weary, I know. Everything is falling away, every part of you shedding to reveal what lies underneath. This is more a rebirth than a perishing. Release yourself to the nurturing spirits of creation and opportunity. Nourish new possibilities and let the world bloom at your fingertips.

What falls away is not forever lost, and what has yet to come is approaching faster than you think. Embrace it, welcome it, kiss it and ask it to dance. You will create rhythms with your dancing and when they fade out into nothing, the earth will remember your footsteps

The snow is thick and blowing bright, even in the dead of night. You don't understand why it hurts to look at it, why you turn your head and focus on the far-off lamppost instead. It offers a beacon, yes, but you can hardly see it with the way the snow falls around you, blurring everything until all you catch is a pinprick of lamplight.

There are things you need to see, things you need to pay attention to, but everything clouds your view. You need to push on through, reach what is waiting for you there in the gentle glow, trudge your way through the snow and find out what called you out into this blizzard in the first place.
A test of endurance, maybe, but what waits for you is surely worth it.

~

Tired and torn, you keep walking. Your friends are waiting with warmth, with a drink and a hug and a blanket to drape over your shoulders. They know what you need, they know what might help. But you have to get there, you have to cross the moonlight into the dark, and find your way out again.

The moon's glow and breadcrumbs can only get you so far, but you're clever. You've been a resourceful creature ever since you were small. Scrappy and fierce, living in ways that confused and caught others by surprise. This is no different dearheart, live who you are, let your friends love you, let yourself heal from that confusion and heartache that has tangled you up and obscured your moonlight.

Do you remember what you came here for? Why you started the journey through these dark and hungry woods? Do you remember the birds that called you here? The sound of rain against the hood of your jacket? Do you remember how you were scared at first, then took that first step forward into the waiting dark?

Go on, we'll wait for you to remember. You aren't the first person who lost their way here and you won't be the last. But the path has already been set before you, you've got the ability to find your way. trust in those who came before, hold onto their stories. Trust that you too, will be remembered and that those who come after will hold your memory like a torch against the night.

You'll find your way, no matter how lost you are now, you just have to breathe in the memory, and breathe out the fear.

Obscured by frost and covered in snow, there is still something waiting. You can't tell what, don't know if you want to approach it, but it is waiting for you. It wants your touch, your warmth, your acknowledgment, and kindness but it will not come to you. Be gentle with it, as you would be with anyone coming in from the cold. It has traveled very far and carried the weight of more than its fair share.

What is waiting beyond the snow? What calls to you in the frost? More than that, why do you hesitate to reach for it, to help it find comfort? It's all right if you don't know, if you're afraid to see and say why. It will be there when you're ready.

~

Tilt your head to the moon, let yourself feel the night sky against your skin. Things still grow at night, you know. There's always something blooming in dark places.
Yes, some darkness is hungry, willing you into the tricky places to test you and see what you can do. But others, say there's gentle darkness too, the kind that lets stars shine within it and night-blooming flowers worship when the sun goes down.

Your darkness is your own but remember, there's always growth to be had, flowers to help you on your way and a moon to help steer your bath.

~

You're waiting, you're waiting, holding your breath and counting down the moments. 3, 2, 1.. Counting your heartbeats, footsteps, raindrops on the roof. You know it's coming, that singular moment, that great vision come to fruition. You can taste it, almost see the world unraveling to reveal what has been telling you it's coming for so long now.
But you need to stop.

Stop sitting, stop counting and waiting, and holding your breath. Open your arms instead, sing out to the sky and sand and sea, welcome the change, the explosion of new things that are all eager to greet you in return.

Let yourself be swept up by a heavy wind, let the vision erupt into reality.

~

Lantern light dances around you, casting a golden glow, offering you guidance in the dark. You may feel it, the pull to explore, to take bold steps into the unknown but don't leave your light behind. Know there are people who want to help, know you are not alone as you traverse the dark. You may feel you have to do it on your own but that lantern is a gift, that golden light offered by those who came before, the guides and gods from long ago, as a promise that you will be safe and find your way. Believe in yourself, believe in your guides, believe in the light at your hands and in your heart.

~

What's ailing you, friend? The question comes from the wind itself, whispering concern and comfort in equal amounts. You feel tired and reach out for stability, for something or someone to find that reassurance in. The wind though is there for you, the trees offer their steady trunks to lean on and you feel friends I the natural places, calling to you to rest and recover. You've been doing a lot, pushing yourself in ways you didn't even realize. It's time to take some of that healing energy and put it inward. Recover, friend. Revive and remember to observe your energy and your self-worth.

~

It's hard to see the love around you, hard to imagine the world cares, that the ancient things are calling to you, telling you that they are there and they care. Gods and ancestors dance in your shadows, whirl around you to old tunes at the edge of your hearing. You walk with them and they clear the path for you to push onward and be a being all your own, full of power and grace both. Embody those who came before you, yet hold onto who you are. The old ways will not be lost, and you won't slip away either. Don't be afraid, but rather, be bold as you can and join in the dance.
